Reviving Old Computer Games
Some day, maybe you'll even have total interoperability so you can play any game on any platform. No, just kidding.
Online ‘emulation’ is a new area now being explored. The idea is that you simply play the game in your browser through a Java applet or Flash application. These might not always strictly be emulated programs but many remakes are feature perfect with the originals. The graphics, sounds, and game play remain intact. Great article. I think online emulation is the way forward - the technology is there and it's one way to make sure that the classics of yesterday don't just disappear.
