I had an idea that I wrote about on the official European WoW forum over a year ago. It was pretty much shot down by the majority that replied, but I’ve seen it suggested countless times since and I still hope it will happen.

The Tepito city chief said that anyone who turns in a machine gun or any other high caliber weapon will receive a computer, and those who turn in smaller guns can either get cash or a Microsoft Xbox game console.

THQ have shipped Destroy All Humans! for the Sony PS2 and Microsoft Xbox game consoles. Destroy All Humans reverses the usual arcade game roles and allows gamers to play as the alien invader to unleash a wave of destruction on mankind using disintegrator rays, massive explosions all presented with a healthy dose of 1950s paranoia.

I love this PR idea:

Microsoft is putting out a new means for battling grade inflation at America’s universities: the Xbox 360. Video games – the great eaters of college students’ time – just get more and more complex, and now the means by which they hit the market is getting more complex too. Too chic to simply put on the shelves at Target with a few television ads for hype, the new Microsoft Xbox 360 demands a coronation party, and MTV will be providing it.

Very interesting.
