Bedside Entertainment
The Xbox is part of a new educational and entertainment system at the Arkansas Children's Hospital.
YTo hear his excitement about using the new bedside entertainment and education system at ACH was reward in itself. He said the system is totally awesome in helping him stay in touch with school, friends and family during extended hospital stays. His doctor has used the bedside monitor to review test results with him. And the TV, movies and Xbox games are way cool!

Toys!
Having fun in the bedroom with the new Xbox games.
I finally broke down and got an XBox 360 Premium and a 32″ LCD HDTV for the bedroom. I bought more used XBox games and only a couple that were 360 specific: Dead Rising, Spiderman 3, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I’ve also used Tversity to turn the 360 into a media server and now I can share the videos I rip from my TiVo to my HDTV in my bedroom.

Original Xbox Erased From History
The original Xbox games have been replaced on store shelves.
Have recently been given an xbox, I've noticed how difficult it is to buy new xbox games now. The original xbox and all games have been replaced in large retailers like HMV and Virgin Megastores by Xbox 360 hardware and titles, while searching online retailers inevitably mainly throws up results for the 360. Sony did the exact opposite when the PS2 came out, re-releasing the PlayStation as the cheaper PSone thus saving all sorts of naming confusion.

Does Backwards Compatibility Matter ?
A look at Xbox games and whetherEighteen months ago, the specialist media reacted with outrage at Microsoft’s stunted backwards compatibility plans for the Xbox 360 - and for months after the launch of the console, Microsoft spokespeople ranging from rank and file PR men to the firm’s games boss Peter Moore were regularly put on the spot over the firm’s slow and unsteady progress towards making the bulk of Xbox games work on the new console.

Business Model Judo
Does Microsoft lose money on its Xbox 360Microsoft’s Zune has just been introduced, so it doesn’t cost much to Microsoft to make a payment on each hardware device sold to Universal today, and it will take awhile for its sales to ramp up to a point that such payments cost Microsoft much. Microsoft also hasn’t historically put the same emphasis that Apple has on trying to make money from the hardware (PCs, Xboxs, cell phones); Microsoft is content to make money from its software (Windows, Office, Xbox games, Windows mobile).

Xbox 360 Back Compatability Expanded
Good news for Xbox game shelf life.
It's interesting to note that this is the first time the list includes titles that are not on the market yet for Xbox, with Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, and Lego Star Wars II. And of these, Lego Star Wars II also has an Xbox 360 SKU – another first for the BC list.

Backwards Compatibile? Yes and No.
Another look at Xbox compatibility.
Most of you (the ones that actually care) probably already know that not all of the Xbox games work for Microsoft’s latest console. What you may not know are the specifics, so as a public service, here’s the list. If you’ve seen it, good for you. If you haven’t, you’re welcome.

Review: Xbox 360
For starters, the premium package comes with the xbox 360, 1 wireless controller, 20gig drive (used for saving games and to play older xbox games), a huge power supply (used to power the beast), an entertainment remote to play DVD’s, the headset and a whole lot of ethernet cable.

A Plan
Wow!
I currently have 29 XBOX games. I only bought my XBOX 3 months ago. I have bought approximately 20 books in the last 2 weeks. Well, it shouldn't be so much of a problem now as Sarah has cut up my credit cards, since in WHSmiths the other day she only left me alone for five minutes before I had spent 30 quid on more books.

Bad Habit Broken?
Bryan beats FableThroughout my life I have had a goodly amount of games. From NES to Xbox, Mario to Master Chief–I’ve enjoyed them all. Right now I am riding high with a stack of Xbox games. Not all of them are critically acclaimed games, and I do not have all of the sleeper hits or cult classics. However, there is not a second of playtime that I haven’t loved.

Xbox Backup
Some good Xbox tips here.
If you have a modchip in your xbox you can play backup games. You can either copy games yourself or you can buy copies on the Internet. Many people also download xbox games from various p2p software. But if you download the games you never know if they will work or not (a lot of fakes out).

Why Does Eveyone Hate Xbox 363?
First, the decision to put the Xbox 363 at two price points seems to have caused plenty of agro. Which is bizarre. Like, every new console has been really expensive, so it’s weird that everyone’s complaining about the price again. And even though Microsoft has really made an effort to make the console more affordable, all the Internet wants to do is complain – about how it’s going to be really expensive to buy memory cards so you might as well get the premium version, or about how you won’t be able to play your old Xbox games unless you buy the expensive version etc. etc.

XBox 360 Backwards Compatibility Info
It's still hard to decipher the backwards compatibility message from Redmond.
Read the entire article. One of the rumors floating around is that backwards compatibility will only work with a hard drive, which would have left Core systems out in the cold. As it turns out, that’s only partially true. In many cases, the hard drive will indeed be necessary because you’ll need an Xbox emulator file to sit on the hard drive (it’s still unconfirmed whether this emulator comes pre-shipped on 360 hard drives but it is highly likely the case) and make your Xbox games 360-friendly. However, our understanding is that this isn’t perfectly foolproof, and that it may not work in every single case.

Xbox Vs. PS2 Game Consoles
Good point here: make sure the game console you buy can run the games you want to play. Or just buy two game consoles!
When deciding which of these two game consoles is best for you, you should certainly take into consideration what types of games each offers, and which games you are most interested in playing. PS2, having been around a little while longer, tends to have the larger game library, but Xbox is not terribly far behind. In addition, Xbox tends to produce games geared more towards adults than children. The graphics seen on the new Xbox games are also clearly a step ahead of PS2 graphics. There is, however, nearly a PS2 game for everyone, and there are lot of PS2 games geared towards teenagers. If you are looking for games for kids, the Nintendo Gamecube may actually be a better choice than either of these two - and it’s cheaper.

User Group Care Package
How do I sign up to get one of these care packages from Microsoft?
When I got home I tore into the package and found a huge stash of goodies. When Drew said he was sending a care package I expected some books, probably a ton of beta CDs, etc. This was so much more. There was a plethora of Xbox games, computer games, and other software! And not the crappy stuff, I am talking about full copies of Office
, Visual Studio Enterprise Architect
, Flight Simulator
, Halo 2
, and much more.

Microsoft & Marvel
MarvelMicrosoft and Marvel struck a deal so that Microsoft can now develop games featuring Marvel’s plethora of 5,000+ characters in XBox Games. I’m hoping that Microsoft develops a game that’s just as fast-paced as Marvel Vs. Capcom II, but featuring more characters and better graphics. That’d be awesome.

Microsoft Licenses NVIDIA For Xbox 360
Maybe the Xbox 360 will provide backwards compatibility.
Microsoft has apparently signed a license with NVIDIA allowing the company to use NVIDIA technology within the Xbox 360 console. This is a major piece to the puzzle of whether the Xbox 360 would actually be compatible with older Xbox games. During E3, Microsoft announced that it would offer support for best selling titles on the Xbox 360 but it wasn’t clear how this was going to happen. Now it appears that Microsoft will use NVIDIA libraries to emulate the NVIDIA graphics chipset onthe 360 since the new console uses an ATI chipset. Microsoft will also probably need to run an emulation layer for the Intel processor since the 360 uses triple core Power PC processors. There are rumors that Microsoft will also ship some patched executables for major titles on the Xbox 360 which will allow the older games to run. Over time, many expect Microsoft to offer more patches via Xbox Live.

New XBox Games
A review of the new Grand Theft AutoFinally released for xbox, its still fun considering it came out late last year for PS2. Major differance between this one and the PS2 one, graphics are slightly better, and ofcourse the load time is much better. Keep in mind I run all my game off my hard drive, this alone would greatly increase the load time of any game. Xbox games usually load faster then PS2 game because Xbox is a more powerful machine, faster processor, etc. I love to play this game use the cheat code to get all the weapons and just fuck people up. Thats what this game is ment for, and remeber its a game.

Comparison of New Xbox and Playstation
Unfortunately for this blogger, the Xmas Xbox will be outdated shortly.
A lot of talk over the new upcoming gaming consoles had been coming across the media and internet over the past several months. I have seen a lot of rumors and some places have even shown fake pictures of what they will look like. None of them have been even close to what the official released pictures look like. They are both white, but playstation has three different colors already to choose from. I am intrested more in the Xbox than the Playstation mainly cause the Playstation controller looks really fucked up. I also have an Xbox now with...

Xbox 360 Backwards Compatible With Top XBOX Games
I think Microsoft's engineering finally read their email from the marketing department.
Minutes ago, it was officially announced, that XBOX360 will be compatible with top Xbox games... more to come later.. ;)
My thoughts? They are using the tech they bought from Connectix, and utilizing a virtual machine to play Xbox games.....

Xbox 360 Backward Compatibility : MS Doesn't Know
Will this slow sales of existing XBox games until people know whether the games will work on the new 360?With all the details released for the next-generatio Xbox you’d think they’ve finally decided on the issue of backward compatibility with current Xbox games, but no matter how you look for the dirt on that you won’t find it anywhere on the spec sheet or product details. So what’s the deal with it? Well according to this article even Microsoft doesn’t know for sure.

Sucked Into The XBox News Vortex
Good point about Microsoft extending its XboxI also find it interesting that Microsoft is courting asian game developers. The main reason why I was never interested in the original XBox was that most of the titles looked just like the stuff I can already get for my PC, while all the innovative games seemed to come out for PS2 or Gamecube. The thought that Microsoft might be trying to fix that is intriguing.

And it ranks among the best Xbox games on the market. This isn't just a great RPG, it is also a brilliant action game that casual gamers can pick up and enjoy.

This blogger loves Jade EmpireWell….if some of you are still thinking that this game might not be a good buy…I wonder what you’re thinking. But maybe there’s one thing that I can mention that might sway a bit. Thats its replayability. This game, just BEGS you to play it again. One of the biggest and most obvious reasons is the fact that it has 3 seperate endings, one of The Way of the Open, The Way of the Closed Fist and then one for bheing neutral in it all. To go along with different endings, you’ll obviously have...
