And The Award Goes To ...
Tennis, anyone?
Jon Stewart plays the Wii with Jamia (had to google her) during while hosting the 2008 Academy Awards. He then says “Am I supposed to be winded?”

Wii-makes
A Resident EvilResident Evil 4 seems like a perfect choice to be remade for the Wii. The game used an aiming mechanic which would be much more intuitive with the Wiimote. It also was the pinnacle of GameCube and has visuals that easily stand up today.

Zelda
BuyingI haven’t purchased any Zelda titles for my Wii Virtual Console yet, mostly because I have played and beaten them all in the past and if I need a Zelda fix there is a little game called Twilight Princess available for it. Obviously a lot of players are buying old Zelda titles for the Wii and it is pretty cool that the VC allows for a selection of games across generations.

Super Mario Channel
For Wii users, a good lookAfter the surprise of the Wii’s Every Votes Channel (which I wrote about in an earlier post), I reflected on what the possibilities were for this Wii Channel functionality, and what I would like to see on future channels.

Game Coordination
Using cybernetics to improvePersonally, I would recommend the Wii. A game such as Wii-Sports allows you to take a look at your current neuro-muscular state and it also gives you different excercises to improve it. Additionally, you have the option to excercise the right side of the brain (playing left-handed) or the left side (playing right-handed).

A Long Wii Review
Backwards compatibility to the GamecubeThe Games. What’s a game console without good games (Answer: the Sega Saturn)? Between the included and excellent Wii Sports, the addictive mini-game based Rayman Raving Rabbids, the critically acclaimed Zelda title, and Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, there are some good games available right now. The Wii is also backwards compatible the GameCube, Nintendo’s previous console, meaning you have access to the existing catalog of games over the past six years. Nintendo also has the Virtual Console through which you can buy even older games, and which deserves its own section.

My Take On The Wii
Click through Samuel Nova's take onThis is my personal review of the Nintendo Wii; it will be different from most of the other reviews which can be found on many game web sites. I will not give a rating such as 9/10 or anything. Instead it will be about my experience with Nintendo Wii. When I say ‘my experience’ then I will from time to time include what my kids thinks about it all, since they have different opinions and views on things.

Looney Toons On Wii
Looney Tunes fans rejoiceWarner Bros. Interactive is now working on a kickass looking new Looney Toons game for Xbox 360 and Wii (right now, more platforms may be announced soon). It looks to be an apologetic all out melee with a team of Looney Tooners against all kinds of wacky enemies.

The Nintendo Wii Hype
Some good points for Nintendo Wii playersOThe biggest lure of the Nintendo Wii is that it redefines gaming and playing video games as we know it. The motion sensitive controllers called “remotes” actually can simulate movements in games. For instance, the Wii Sports games that come included with systems that were shipped in the United States fully utilyzes virtual “movement” of the controller for the actual game play. In other words really swinging a bat in baseball or serving a racket in tennis.

Swiss Wii
This was an opportunity that the guys at World of Games could not let go un-noticed, so they had a special midnight event (Their first ever midnight event). All starting at 21.00 (6th of Dec), people showed up and got coupon’s for the Wii itself. It was possible to buy games and accessories before midnight also of course. All this took place at the WOG shop in Oberenfelden, Switzerland.

Wow Wii!!
How this blogger got is WiiI decided I wanted a Wii. As did, apparently, most people in North America. Sold out everywhere, I kept an eye out. I leanred the inside info (i.e. BestBuy only puts them on the floor on Sunday, etc.). I wrote .NET applications to query the Amazon page for the Wii to determine when the page changed from out of stock to in stock so I could place my order. All without success. During all of this, I was reading stories about how great people thought the Wii was, stories of people trading their $600 PS3s for the $250 Wiis on Craigs List and considering it a fair trade. I found a site that said that Best Buy would have them on the 31st. The challenge? I'd likely have to get there early, before the store opened to guarantee I'd get one.

Woot Wiis The PS3?
Trading the PS3Woot managed to sell 80 20gb PS3s in four and a half minutes by mocking the PS3 and admitting that they were selling the PS3s to pay for Wiis. If you clicked on the PS3, you were even treated to a not so subliminal message spelled out in boxes of PS3s. How bad was the mocking?
