Recently, I was drawn to playing games online. I am an avid surfer on the web and I discover stuff frequently so I have a HUGE stash of online games, some of which are just played in 3 days and forgotten. Now, I stumbled up playing Backgammon online. In all honesty, I know nothing about it. So I tried to learn through the link in their site called Backgammon School, and it easy enough for me to understand. It is a free software, so I had to try it out.

Edmund McMillen brings us Tri-achnid.

Tri-achnid is a very innovative game full of gorgeous art and effects, with a ton of technical merit behind the engine. In this game, you play as a 3 legged creature who must escape from harsh conditions in order to find a home for it’s young. The creature can scale almost any surface in the game allowing the players to explore impressive landscapes in their search for survival.

Nice review of Nanaca Crash here.

The one game that stood out to me is called Nanaca Crash. It is a Japanese game, and done completely in Flash. It reminds me of a few other flash games, where you essentially launch something into the air and you go further and further based on if you hit specific things along the way. Well, in this case you are a Japanese schoolgirl and you smash into a poor guy with your bike. He goes flying, and along the way can land on random pedestrians that either stop him in his tracks or smash him hard enough to keep the flight going. The game is more luck than anything. My current high score is 1529.56m which I think is pretty good. My previous high before that was 300m, but that one I just hit a couple of good specials.

Nice review of Battalion: Head to Head, a free pc game.

The game is similar to the series of Nintendo’s Advance Wars games, however, the big bonus here is that the game is free, and you don’t need a Game Boy or Nintendo DS to play. All you need is a web browser with Flash Player 7. Battalion is free, however, there is a premium membership you can purchase in order to gain access to more maps, more powerful “uber-units”, and the ability to create and upload your own maps.
